Awesome San Diego Hospitality from Bob Long, Jim Weir and Steamroller

My wife and I just returned from a trip to San Diego to visit our son, and I can't thank Bob Long, Jim Weir and Steamroller enough.

I rented a c4 waterman10'6" and  a really nice Werner Spanker paddle from Bob at his surf shop- Bob's Mission Surf Shop, and I can't tell you how nice he, and Justin and Darren at his shop, treated us. He has an oustanding collection of SUP stuff and he and his crew are unbelievably nice to deal with. If ever you need anything in San Diego go to "Mission Bob", you are in for a great experience.

Jim Weir, owner and creator of ULI Boards, and Steamroller, legendary ULI Team Rider, were nice enough to invite me and my son Tim to join them for a session at Mission Beach. My son and I had an outstanding 2 hour session with two of the nicest humans on the planet. Jim thanks so much for your hospitality,for sharing your stoke, and for your great ULI Boards- I love mine.

Steamroller, if everyone in the world had your infectious enthusiasm,boundless energy and big heart, then a lot of the world's problems would go away. Thanks for SUPing with us, it was great fun and a real treat to watch you charge.

Very cool! Nate and I will be there next week and look forward to meeting Bob , checking out his shop and hopefully catching a few waves!

Oh and I have had the pleasure of surfing with the steamroller and could not agree more!

glad you had a good time out here...feelings mutual...Jim and i enjoyed meeting you and had a GREAT time surfing with you and Tim...you guys can be my wingman anytime... ...

also i think you might be some kind of a wavemagnet because i checked cardiff on the way south to Ocean beach and it was almost flat...Jim checked sunset cliffs on the the way north and it was worse...OB as you saw was 4" and all closed out...luckily we found you and hit South Mission Jetty and found GOOD waves...i was havin one heck of a good time

after you left and we were walking back the the jeep jim said "i had fun...those were pretty cool guys huh"...."well yeah of course...theyre fellow ULI guys"...
