Has anyone had this problem? The Deckpad is starting to peel off, may not be the worst thing to happen as sometimes I dont feel 100% gripped onto the board, any suggestions?

Has anyone removed a starboard deckpad? Same technique with acetone and goo gone?

Any suggestions on a replacement deckpad?

I replaced the pad on my 12-6 with a Maxfield Provisions pad. Very nice. The pad on my 11-2 has a couple of small tears in the surface but is fine otherwise. Comes off in the typical way. I used a sharp 2" putty knife and goo gone. Wasn't that bad.

Contact cement works great.

You want to glue it back down before it gets ripped.

I had several spots on my Big Easy start to come up.  Some bad and other not so bad.  However, they all got bad after my two year old son finds the edge and decides to pull.

Anyone try silicone to repair a peeling deck pad?  Contact cement doesn't seem to work for me.

Maritime- I reglued my deck pad in several spots with contact cement and there's no reason why it shouldn't be working for you. I can only guess that perhaps you"re not allowing the cement to "dry" before contact. You need to separate both surfaces, apply a thin layer of contact cement, and wait roughly ten minutes depending on humidity, for the cement to dry. Once you press both surfaces together, voila, good as new.

Gorilla Glue works very well too.  Don't over apply as it foams.
Lots of foil boards 6'7"-7'4", L41 TVD's and Jimmy Lewis Strikers..

Cardiff Sweeper

Loctite epoxy syringe.
I used it yesterday to remount a pad. I don't think it'll ever come off now!

Oscillating multi tool with the blade attachment takes a pad off in a hurry. Then it's a matter of letting the goo gone soak in and going at that with one of those coarse foam sanding pads to get the residual glue off.
Clean it with some soap and water and you're ready for the new pad. I changed one recently in about two hours.

How do you keep the oscillating tool from damaging the board?

StandinDan

The blade attachment just glides throught the pad like its warm butter. It won't take off the glue, that seems to provide a protective buffer between the blade and the deck. I stripped the pad off my Coreban Vibe without so much as a nick or scratch.
